Mr. Felix Blinov, the Managing Director of RWM Capital Asset Management was included in the rating list of “50 best independent directors”.
The rating list was established by the Association of Independent Directors (IDA), the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) and PwC Company. Establishment of the rating list is designed to honor efforts of directors who in their professional activity adhere to the best practices of corporate management and contribute to its further promotion. Winners were selected by the Expert Committee consisting of representatives of the State as well as of the largest Russian and international companies.
The rating list was presented within the framework of the VII National Reward “Director of the year 2012” which took place on October 25, 2012 in the city of Moscow. “An extraordinary event has taken place this year: the rating list of independent directors has been established, - says Mr. Felix Blinov, the Managing Director of RWM Capital Asset Management. – Only several years ago the issue of corporate management and development of the institute of independent directors in Russia brought forwards many doubts and negative opinions.
A little time passed and it became obvious that implementation of qualified professionals as independent directors was the strategically correct decision for many companies including those partially owned by the State. At present I act as an independent director for several companies.
This is a complicated but very interesting job. Sometimes even a mission. In this capacity I work with big enthusiasm and pleasure and therefore it pleases me even more when my efforts are appreciated by my colleagues. It was a great honor for me to be included in the rating list of “50 best independent directors”. I’m convinced that for all independent directors including me it is the good incentive to further professional improvement and development.”
