Mobile app RoadAR - free scanner of traffic signs and video recorder for smartphones is now available for download in most countries of Central Europe, South America, Australia and also in Canada and Japan. Currently the application RoadAR can use the drivers from 60 countries.
RoadAR was created in Kazan (Russia) by a team of 9 people. The project is the resident or RWM Capital Venture Investments fund. Mobile app RoadAR brings drivers assistance system to a new level. This program automatically detects road signs and helps to monitor their following. RoadAR replaces a hardware DVR and can work in conjunction with navigation software.

The market doesn’t face any shortage of mobile apps with navigation or video recording. But none of these programs will not warn the driver that soon there will be a sign "overtaking is forhibited" for instance. And none of them do not remind whether you passed the crossroad after the restrictive sign. Automatic scanning and recognition of signs still remained the privilege of expensive navigation systems of some premium cars and not always take into account the peculiarities of the roads.
Free app RoadAR makes this exotic functionality is indeed available to the public. The program recognizes the most important signs and informs the driver of their coverage. RoadAR tells the driver where you should not exceed the speed limit, overtake or park, will warn about the sign "give way" and approaching the pedestrian road.
At the same time it records on video everything that happens on the road replacing the specialized DVR. Current speed, location, time, and current signs are recorded directly in the video file, providing the driver with an additional layer of protection in case of proceedings after an emergency situation.
